I had this issue, wasted an hour. I’m UK based so I used a VPN set for the US and that resolved it
From what I gather, there must be a lot of people with this problem.
If it can help the devs, I use a ledger and when connecting to wallet.xdc.network with Ethereum selected I get the same error message as BAK_JAK does above.
Even if I was able to connect with ethereum, the wallet is on a different address on xdc network, not the default Ethereum address for ledger. If I try to connect to XDC network, get the error “connection not open on send()”.
However if I choose Apothem network from the list, funds show up but they are listed as TXDC.
It was all working fine 2-3 months ago.
The dev team is actively investigating this issue. Please wait for update
Can you check now and let us know if it works for you? I am not having any issue at my end.
Can you check now?
dev team checked and it’s working fine at their end.
alternatively, You can try through MEW (MYETHERWALLET) which has the similar interface like XDC Web wallet.
Tried it through MEW. When I connect, it does not let me connect to XDC network, only Ethereum. I can access the Ethereum wallet and can see Ethereum tokens and it is the correct address where XDC tokens are stored (shows up on explorer), but when I add XDC tokens it shows 0 balance, but there should be tokens in there.
Thanks for the update. I’ll touch base with the team and suggest creating an article on how to access the XDC wallet on Ledger through both the XDC Web wallet and MyEtherWallet.
In my opinion, another option could be to try accessing your wallet through Metamask. You simply need to add the XDC Network to Metamask, select the XDC Network, and then connect your Ledger wallet to Metamask. You should be able to see your funds there.
Keep in mind that Metamask does not support the XDC prefix in wallet addresses. So, when moving funds out of Metamask, you need to replace the XDC prefix of the destination wallet address with 0x (ZeroX).
You and I are facing the same EXACT issue. I’m sure it maybe the same for others as well in some form or fashion. Ive tried Metsmask, but it would generate a New XDC address, and not read my Address that is attached on my ledger.
when I quickly click on the access upon switching between networks, it can enter into what should be my wallet, but it does not load up.
when I wait after switching to select the XDC network gives an error that you see in red.
I know this an absolute issue with XDC and there needs to be a resolution asap.
another website platform I use to use that had zero issues, you can see my wallet address in 508, but shows zero XDC.
Similar problem with Metamask. I can connect to the XDC Network on metamask and connect the ledger, however the default Ethereum address shows up and not the correct XDC address as mentioned above, so again the balance shows 0.
Thanks and for the reply, really appreciate it, but just creating an article to access funds will not solve the problem. This problem is not because people simply do not know how to access their funds through these different wallets, something else is happening. As mentioned above, it was working fine for many not too long ago, but not at all now.
Have you tried accessing your wallet through Metamask in a different browser? While the team is actively looking into this issue, I am just trying to see if all possible scenarios have been explored.
Hey @Monkeyshuffl
Can you check now and let me know if it’s working for you?
Update and solution. This worked for me, hope it works for you also.
I’m not using a VPN, however I tried using a different cellular network by hotspotting my phone. I was then able to connect and move the funds to default ethereum wallet.
i have the same problem when i want to open my xdc web wallet with ledger it’s showing “connection not open on send”, i tried to get access to my funds by MEW wallet but it showing the same connection not open on send, this problem happened 1-2 weeks ago till that time everything was good, but now as i see this problem occured not just with me but also with most of the people at the same time, so is team trying to solve this problem or not?!
Hello Ayhan
The team is currently investigating this issue. Please be patient while we work on it. In the meantime, be cautious of scammers who might try to contact you and ask you to connect your wallet to an external website or redirect you to another scammer on Telegram or other platforms. Stay vigilant!
thank you sir iam so glat that team already know about this issue and try to solve it, as you mentioned about the scammers few of them already wrote me to help and i blocked them
Hey all- had my panic attack today checking and I can CONFIRM on my end that this error was due to NETWORK ISSUES. I have starlink and when I connected to my cellular hotspot, I no longer received this error and found my XDC. Hope this helps.
